Heavy Snow and the Pandemic

Heavy Snow Storms and the Pandemic

It is that time of year when heavy snow can move in at any moment. How will this affect the ongoing fight against the Pandemic?

Many in the area are prepared for the snow weeks ahead of time. It is much the same each and every year. Make sure the snow shovels are readily available, have everything you need for the snowblower, have plenty of salt or ice melt on hand, and plenty of provisions in case of being cut off from travel and no electricity.

But what about the Pandemic? What are your plans in the midst of a Snowstorm if you experience signs and symptoms of possible COVID-19 infection? If you are not able to get out, it is advisable to stay in, self-quarantine, and call your local health provider for advice. Do not risk going out when conditions are dangerous.

Once snow and storm conditions subside and the roads are clear to travel, contact your Doctor or Local Health Dept for direction on your next move. Then follow that advice for what's best for your particular situation.
