AVERAGE WATER LOSS COST - BY CATEGORY OF WATER 2022

CAT 1  (Clean) :  Approximately $ 4.50 sq ‘   *(see Note)

The average cost of simply drying out your property from a “clean” water leak with no further damage done or restoration needed on an avg loss area of 1000 sq’ is around $4,500. While the average cost of drying out this same area of your home and repairing any damage done to drywall and carpeting/flooring is around $11,500 or $11.50 sq’. Costs can continue to go up from here depending on the source of the water, how much water, if the Water Category changes and how great the damage.

CAT 2  (Grey) :  Approximately  $ 5.25 sq ‘   *(see Note)

The average cost of simply drying out your property from a “grey” water leak with no further damage done or restoration needed on an avg loss area of 1000 sq’ is around $5,250. While the average cost of drying out this same area of your home and repairing any damage done to drywall and carpeting/flooring is around $13,300 or $13.30 sq’. Costs can continue to go up from here depending on the source of the water, how much water, if the Water Category changes and how great the damage.

CAT 3  (Black) :  Approximately  $ 7.75 sq ‘  *(see Note)

Simply drying out your property from a “black” water leak is not possible. Just to extract “black” water from an avg loss area of 1000 sq’ would be around $7,750. Because of the damage done and the restoration needed, there are more factors to be taken into consideration with a “black” water loss. Cleaning up the “black” water, drying out your home and repairing any damage done to drywall (which will need removed), removing and replacing carpeting/flooring and sanitizing is around $19,500 or $19.50 sq’ on an avg loss area of 1000 sq’. Costs can continue to go up from here depending on the source of the water, how much water, and how great the damage.
