No Picnics for Father's Day

Father's Day 2020 brought something other than a picnic or outdoor gathering for the Quincy, IL area. Around midday on Sunday, parts of Quincy experienced unprecedented amounts of rainfall. Several places reported anywhere from 4 - 6 inches of rainfall within just a 2-hour period.

City storm sewers in places were not able to keep up with the massive amounts of H2O. Many homes as well as businesses experienced major flooding and sewer backups. 

Our phone lines at SERVPRO of Quincy seemed to be on continuous ring, as we took call after call from residents and business owners experiencing some sort of water emergency. Our crews worked well into the night battling the losses until all that needed help got some attention.
